The role of Board of Management of ICES Colombo office has been to advise the Executive Director and the Management Committee on policy direction, administration and financial management of the Centre. The terms of the board of management were:
- to generate ideas for future work and direction of ICES
- to review and advice on staffing, administrative and financial management
- to assist ICES in networking with partners at the national, regional and international level.
- to assist in identifying and networking with donors
- to form the core of an intellectual community that will sustain ICES Colombo
