Research Partners delivered presentations at the Preparatory Committee of the United Nations World Summit for Social Development.
 
Copenhagen, March 1995
The Program presented a panel at the NGO Forum at the United Nations World Summit for Social Development.
 
Colombo, June 1995
The Multiculturalism Research Group and UNESCO's World Commission on Culture and Development coordinated a consultation on Culture and Development in South Asia.
 
Berlin, September 1995
The Program presented a panel on Culture and Identity at the inauguration of the International Peace University of Berlin.
 
Geneva, May 1996
ICES, the key research institution of the Multiculturalism Research Group, organized a presentation of the Multiculturalism project at the second session of the United Nations Working Group on Minorities under the Sub-Commission of Protection against Discrimination of Minorities.
 
Tokyo, October 1996
Research Partners of the various Research Groups shared their findings with interested NGOs and individuals from Japan at a conference organized by the Culture and Identity Program.
 
Cochin, March 1997
The Program Researchers attending the Multiculturalism Research Group's mid-term review meeting met with the mayor and other leaders of the various ethnic groups of Cochin.
 
Colombo, March 1997
The Multiculturalism Research Group held a meeting with Sri Lanka's scholars of ethnicity.
 
Geneva, May 1997
Representatives of ICES, the key research institution of the Multiculturalism Research Group, contributed to the third session of the United Nations Working Group on Minorities under the Sub-Commission of Protection against Discrimination of Minorities.
 

Oxford, January 1998
The Multiculturalism Research Group organized a seminar to bring together some of the leading social scientists whose work deals with conceptual and theoretical issues relating to multiculturalism.
