The book, published by TSAR Publications in Toronto, brings together, a comprehensive selection of short stories and poems written by Tamil authors during the last fifty years. A number of writers, both local and diasporic are represented in the collection, and the arrangement of the poems and short stories is intended to reflect the wide range of thematic concerns and stylistic innovations that characterize this significant period of literary history. The editor, Chelva Kanaganayakam is professor of English at Trinity College, University of Toronto.
