Conference on Coexistence in a Pluralistic Society

A conference on "Coexistence in a Pluralistic Society" is being organised to mark ICES's 25th anniversary & to honour the founders Prof. Kingsley De Silva and late Dr. Neelan Tiruchelvam during 7- 8 August, 2008 at the Mt.Lavinia Hotel, Mt.Lavinia Sri Lanka. This conference would bring together a cross-section of South Asian experts on the six key themes identified as part of ICES strategic reorganization,It would aim to examine the present state of play in South Asia in these key areas.

Given its own heritage, ICES seeks to undertake this by bringing back a generation of South Asian scholars, both young and old, who have collaborated in one way or another with ICES in the main areas of its work for 25 years and contributing to generating the rich literature and discourse.
