on Violence Aginst Women
|
The
Special Rapporteur has also been building archives on all issues relating
to violence against women. These archives are located in Colombo at
the International Centre for Ethnic Studies, and have experienced
immense growth over the years. At present there are over 7,000 documents
housed at these archives. These archives function as a resource from
which local and international advocates, activists, students, researchers,
policy makers and the media draw for background information and comparative
analysis. The Special Rapporteur also hopes to place the archives
on the web.
This is an ongoing project.
